Posts from May 19, 2008 Columbus Race for the Cure a Huge SuccessMTR employees participated in the Komen Columbus Race for the Cure this past Saturday. The Columbus Komen race is one of the top 10 largest Komen races in the world. In 1998, there were 875 participants that raised $50,000. This year, there were 40,266 participants and about $2 million was raised for breast cancer research, screening, treatment, and education. With these numbers, it is more and more apparent every year that more people are fighting to cure breast cancer. There is no doubt that this event will keep growing every year. So join all of us at MTR next year and help us fight breast cancer!

So, if you’re going to be in Columbus, Ohio on May 17th, come join Medical Technology Resources and many others to help put an end to breast cancer! About the Susan G. Komen for the Cure In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and launched the global breast cancer movement. Susan G. Komen for the Cure — is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. MTR’s booth had a strategic location very close to B. Braun and other major manufacturers. The Bingo game that NHIA organized was a key element in traction to our booth. We sponsored a $100 gift card to Nordstrom, which appealed to both men and women. We interacted with a variety of attendees from every part of the United States, along with a number of attendees representing companies outside of the US. The NHIA Conference has been a very positive experience. We believe that the conference has helped garner MTR much name recognition nationwide. We thank the NHIA staff for all their help and hospitality and look forward to participating again next year. We would also like to thank all the attendees that stopped by our booth!
