For those of you who are unfamiliar, USP 797 is a far-reaching regulation that governs a wide range of pharmacy policies and procedures. It is designed both to cut down on infections transmitted to patients through pharmaceutical products and to better protect any staff working in pharmacies in the course of their exposure to pharmaceuticals. Pharmacies must follow the regulations that USP 797 enforces and MTR will be stocking Texwipe products in order to assist pharmacies in conforming to these regulations. MTR would like to welcome Nicole Smerles to our staff! She will be assuming Brianne Julian’s position as the Marketing and Sales Support Specialist. Nicole graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business with a specialization in Marketing. After graduation, she worked for a major newspaper in Central Ohio. Nicole is excited to start her new responsibilities with MTR. She will be the go-to person for all the web sales. Currently, Nicole is planning her wedding for next year and taking care of her babies – two dogs, Louie and Sammie. On Saturday, August 16th 2008, at the Creekside Park in Gahanna, Ohio, MTR staff will be walking in the 9th Annual Medical Mutual of Ohio Walk for Wishes. This walk raises money for the Make-A-Wish foundation of Greater Ohio, which is based right here in Columbus, Ohio. After the walk, Make-A-Wish will be hosting a party for their 25th anniversary. MTR is proud to join Make-A-Wish in this celebration. Earlier this year, MTR granted the wishes of two children with life-threatening illnesses. So if you’re in the Columbus area on August 16th, come join all of us here at MTR and help grant the wishes of hundreds of children!
